1

Akrotiri Archaeological Site

In this tour you have the chance to visit the Akrotiri Archaeological Site with an official licensed guide. He offers you the opportunity to discover one of the most significant prehistoric settlements of the Aegean sea, which is called the “Aegean Pompeii”.

Wine Experience

We continue with visits and guidance by our sommelier to 3 wineries where we will find out everything about the history of Santorini wine and taste its fine and famous varieties. We will have the pleasure of enjoying the extraordinary sunset by drinking Vinsanto, the exquisite sweet wine of Santorini, in a unique location with fantastic views of the caldera. Moreover, we will visit the production facilities of the wineries thus a museum where you will get to know the history of wine production on the island.

2

Argyros Estate Winery

After 100 years of trading from an old canava in Episkopi Gonia, Argyros built a modern winery with an architecturally striking visitor centre. Out in the dusty fields there are vines that date back to the 1850s, some of the oldest on the island. The fourth generation of the family now produces three Assyrtikos, an Aidani, a full-bodied red from the Mavrotragano grape and three Vinsantos.

3

Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum

The Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum provides everything a visitor would want to know about winemaking in one of the most unique locales on the planet. Guests will get a peek of what life was like as a winemaker here thanks to the Koutsogiannopoulos family’s knowledge and historical exhibits.

4

Venetsanos Winery

Built into a cliff in 1947, the winery with the most stunning position on Santorini. Engineer Giorgos Venetsanos had the amazingly simple notion of employing gravity to process grapes down through three stories till they emerged as wine that could be piped to the harbour 230m below for export before electricity became available. Venetsanos has turned this unusual edifice into its visitor centre, while the wine is made at a modern plant nearby, which was closed in 1979 and reopened in 2014. Tastings take place on a rocky terrace overlooking the spectacular caldera below.

This tour will fill you with unique images, great tastes, historical knowledge and unforgettable experiences!

The tour ends at your Hotel or at the Cable Car terminal, in Fira for Cruise Ship guests.

*Please note, if you make a last-minute booking for your wine tour there is a case to find unavailability in a winery. Then, we will modify your wine tour with another winery with similar amenities.
