Itinerary

Oia

Firts of all, we start visiting the most recognizable spot of Santorini. It’s northern side Oia a colorful community with whitewashed cottages perched on a rock overlooking the Caldera and volcano. Wander around its winding paths while inhaling the salty air and smelling the Mediterranean smells and admiring with us the wide vistas of the sea and sky.

Firostefani

Returning from Oia we will make a “photostop” at Firostefani. In Greek language, Stefani means crown, therefore it is the Crown of Fira. There is located the famous Blue Domed Church. This iconic church has adorned the cover of so many guidebooks of the island. So, pose like a celebrity and your travel expert will take many photos of you with an amazing view in the background.

Monastery of Prophet Ilias

Then, the Monastery of Prophet Ilias is a must-see for any visitor of Santorini. At the highest point of the island, 2.000 feet (600 meters) above sea level, this Monastery has been characterized as a place of great historical significance, comprising churches, chapels, a bell tower and a wealth of numerous religious goods from the 18th century.

Pyrgos

At the foot of the mountain of Prophet Ilias we meet the medieval village of Pyrgos. This picturesque village will offer you panoramic views of both sides of Santorini. In Pyrgos you will get impressed by the retained features of the Venetian rule with traditional Cycladic houses and pathways placed around it.

Black Beach of Perivolos

At this point of our tour, we will spend a few minutes at the famous Black Beach of Perivolos, which is the largest beach of Santorini. It is covered with black volcanic pebbles and enjoy the spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and the nearby islands.

Winery

Furthermore, you have the option to make a stop and visit the traditional Winery Venetsanos. There you will learn the secrets of local winemaking and enjoy the tastes of the real Santorini’s wines.
